Gender Equality Lecture

How much do you know about gender equality? The issue of gender equality exists in every corner of the society. In order to give a better understanding of gender equality, students are encouraged to join the gender equality online courses. These courses will be running over four weeks. Students are welcomed to share thoughts with us after completing the online courses.

"It's fun learning gender equality. I've always wondered how women are treated all around the world. After all, men always think they are the dominant one. I've learned a lot from this course. Don't put judges or prejudice on gender. After all, it's just a statement, not proof of our ability."

"In today's society whereby we see the rising of people identified as LGBT; which could be probably due to not feeling that they are fitting in the "expectation" that the society holds for each gender. It was definitely an interesting perspective and I'm excited to learn more!"

"I agree with gender neutrality in order to achieve gender equality. In Serbian language we use masculine norm to include women. The feminists are trying to change that, but the resistance is too strong even among linguists. For example, for a word "soldier" we do not have feminine form."
